Aloha and welcome to our weekend Chocolate Laulima tasting experiences where all proceeds collected from chocolate tasting fees are given to the nonprofits in our Chocolate Laulima program. Enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views from our second story open-air pavilion while being led through three flights of chocolate (a minimum of nine pieces) by our Founder and CEO, Gunars Valkirs, or our VP of Everything Chocolate, Dan O‘Doherty. Learn why your body is perfectly engineered to enjoy chocolate and how to pair chocolate with beverages. Taste our international and national award-winning chocolate made from cacao grown on our Lahaina farm. Experience the chocolate making process from farm to factory via videos narrated by our Founder and insights that only he or Dan can provide.
The Chocolate Bar is now open in the pavilion and offers wines, spirits and beer that are paired with our chocolate flights. We have recommended pairings (see below), or you can make your own choices from our List. Our experienced chocolate sommeliers will help you make your decision. Please come at least 30 minutes before a guided tasting so that your beverage order can be taken before the tasting begins and you can review our beverage options to help inform your choices.
- 60-minute tasting experience
- Please check for available days and time
- Alcoholic beverage pairings available with each flight of chocolate for an additional charge
- Separate seating area for alcohol service. Only guests 21 and older allowed in alcohol service area.
At times when there is no guided tasting in progress, the pavilion and The Chocolate Bar are open for chocolate and beverage service staffed by our chocolate sommeliers. Either purchase our recommended pairings or create your own chocolate tasting plate with or without alcoholic beverages. Between 10:00am and 5:00pm the alcohol service area will be strictly limited to guests 21 and older. A separate area for those under 21 is available for chocolate tasting and all tour check-ins until 5:00pm when the entire pavilion will be restricted to guests 21 and older on the evenings that we are open. A valid photo ID will be required for seating in the alcohol service area.
