Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate uses only the finest cacao beans. Sourced by VP Daniel O’Doherty, our Made in Maui chocolate bars are crafted with single-origin cacao from Costa Esmeraldas, Ecuador—some of the highest-quality cacao in the world.
As production on our Lahaina cacao farm continues to increase, the majority of our products will be made exclusively with cacao grown by Maui Ku‘ia Estate for our exceptional, farm-to-bar, Grown and Made in Maui chocolate.
Our range currently features Dark Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate. Our Dark Milk Chocolate is a perfect blend of 60% cacao, 20% milk powder and 20% sugar. Our delicious Dark Chocolate is made with 65% or 75% cacao, complemented with sugar for balance.
With our Lahaina chocolate factory under construction and set to open in late 2018, we are currently creating and testing our chocolate formulations on Oahu. For these recipes, we are using small-scale chocolate-making equipment for research and development, identical to the full-size machinery that will be in our brand new Maui facility, which will be the largest chocolate factory in the state of Hawai‘i!
