Located within the ahupua’a, or traditional Hawaiian land division of Ku’ia, which lies in the moku (district) of Lāhaina, our farm began to take shape. Ten acres at a time it was transformed into a verdant green by water flowing from the wao akua (literally, “realm of the gods”), located in the upper reaches of Mauna Kahālāwai, more commonly known as the West Maui Mountains.
We now have more than 8,000 trees spread across twenty-plus acres, expanding to more than sixty within the next few years. Our farm will provide the raw material for our world-class chocolate, which is produced at our state of the art Lāhaina factory, the largest in Hawai’i.
