Enjoy a private, in-person, curated chocolate tasting in our 2,000 sq ft, second floor, open air, covered Ku'ia Pavilion at the Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina Maui.
Our 10-Flavor Tasting ($10/person)will include seven 5g pieces selected from our 65% Dark and 65% Dark Milk Costa Esmeraldas, Ecuador single origin chocolate, and three of our 2020 Limited Release single origin chocolates. [$5 FOR KAMAʻAINA]
Your tasting fee will be credited towards the purchase of chocolate and merchandise in the Retail Store on the day of your tasting.
During your tasting, you will learn about Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate including its founder Dr. Gunars Valkirs, how we farm and source cacao, how chocolate is made, and why the factory is 100% powered by the sun. You will be able to watch videos of the farm to bar process, see into the chocolate factory, and talk to members of the team that make chocolate and serve our customers.
Reservations are required, masks must be worn upon entry and exit, a special access elevator is available for guests who need assistance climbing with stairs.
We can only accommodate up to 30 people per tasting because of Maui County social distancing rules. Please make your reservation for the total number of people in your party, including keiki.

Part of our kuleana is our responsibility to care for the land we’re on. Sustainable practices are foundational to who we are as a company. Our factory is 100% solar powered by 300 kW of solar panels and a 200 kW standby generator, making it the 2nd largest off-grid commercial facility in Maui. Our goal, between the chocolate factory and the farm, is to have a negative carbon footprint.
