    Our Holiday Hot Chocolate Recipe

Our Holiday Hot Chocolate Recipe-Maui Kuʻia Estate Chocolate

Welcome back to the Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate blog. We want send you all our season’s greetings as well as share our recipe for the Hot Chocolate that we plan on serving at our Retail Store at our factory in Lahaina.

    HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE

150 ml (5 oz) Silk brand original version almond milk (60 cal/8 oz serving)

40 g (1.4 oz) 65% dark milk chocolate (Ku‘ia Estate Dark or Dark Milk is the best choice)

Measure almond milk into a cylindrical container (large enough for blending), add chocolate in pieces, and heat in microwave to drinking temperature, not boiling, approximately 1 min 20 sec depending on microwave power.

Blend using an immersion blender for 10-15 sec. or until smooth. Use pulse mode of blender to avoid liquid overflowing container.

Transfer to drinking cup of your choice. Double wall stainless steel cups holding 8 oz are the best choice because the hot chocolate stays hot for a long time.

The drink has approximately 200 calories and if using dark chocolate the drink is vegan. Many flavors of Ku‘ia Estate chocolate will be available to be made into hot chocolate in the retail store.
