Chocolate Tasting at Hyatt Regency Maui

Welcome back to the Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate blog! This week we were delighted to take our chocolate on the road once again, this time to the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa for our third pop-up tasting event.

Team Ku‘ia—including (L-R below) Chef Riko, Nainoa, Charlene, Gunars and Krishna—set up our sampling station in the lobby, where hotel guests were offered four types of chocolate to taste, before casting votes on their favorites.

This time, our selections were 65% Dark Chocolate, 65% Dark Chocolate Lemongrass, 60% Dark Milk Chocolate and 60% Dark Milk Chocolate Lemongrass.

Our 60% Dark Milk Lemongrass was a big hit, leading the voting for the majority of our two-hour event. However, it was just edged out in the final minutes by our 65% Dark Milk.

We collected 106 votes in total, with 33 in favor of the 60% Dark Milk, 29 for the 60% Dark Milk Lemongrass, 25 for the 65% Dark and 19 for the 65% Dark Lemongrass.

Our Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate was enjoyed by guests of all ages and it was wonderful to hear their feedback and excitement about our Lahaina Chocolate Factory. Many thanks to everyone who came by and, of course, to our Corporate Partner Hyatt Regency Maui, for being such wonderful hosts!
